God speaks to Simeon…

white_dove-wideMORNING WORD
6/3/2013
GOOD MORNING!
And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him. And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ. (Luke 2:25-26 KJV)
God still speaks to us today! How many of us can testify to God telling us something and it coming to pass? How many of us are still waiting for things to come to pass!?
Don’t lose hope! God is faithful, He does not lie nor waiver. Simeon in his old age was blessed to see the Lord Jesus before God took him home and the Lord will do the same for us.
Believe and trust God, He has plans to prosper us and to give us an expected end! The Lord is good and greatly to be praised for His work in and through each of us!
What does the Holy Spirit want to reveal to you today? Will you take the time out to listen? Just 5 minutes of quietness before the throne, I guarantee you if you seek Him…you will find Him! I also guarantee you if we seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness then all of our concerns will be taken care of.
Often times, we run ahead of God trying to create the very thing He has promised to deliver to us. Abraham ran ahead of God. The Scriptures are clear…wait on the Lord is mentioned throughout the Word and yet is one of the hardest things we are asked to do. We rely on ourselves to do the work, we are independent more times than not on ourselves. We must be desperate and totally dependent on God if we want to see His promises to us come to pass.
Simeon didn’t go around looking under every baby carriage, lifting the veil to see if Jesus was under it. He waited, he trusted, and he was led by the Spirit of God to go into the temple…and that is where he laid eyes on his promise! I get goose bumps! There is more to that then meets the eye. Simeon was given a double portion of promise and blessing…he was given his promise! The lesson to day is we will not miss it…Abraham wasn’t going to miss it…you will not miss it…God in His perfect timing as He is preparing you to receive it…will not be a minute too soon or too late…but He is always right on time!
Today may we listen to God speak to us, trust Him to bring it to pass and wait on Him to lead us to the promise. He is faithful!
with much love for the brethren~
YOU ARE POSITIONED BY GOD AND HIGHLY FAVORED!
