Are you in need of a filling?

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another. Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. (Ro 14:17 Ro 14:19 Ro 15:13 Ro 15:33)

The above Scriptures reveal to us that God’s kingdom is not focused about our physical needs but our spiritual. Of course, God cares and provides our physical needs but that is not His focus for us. His focus is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. It doesn’t say in the Father, nor the Son, it clearly says in the Holy Ghost. He says also that we should follow after the things which make for peace one being that we edify one another. If someone poured into you encouragement to edify you that certainly would bring peace and passport for that relationship, wouldn’t you think? It’s worth a try anyway considering the Scriptures tell us so. Then Paul shares that the God of hope fill you…there is a filling needed…just look around at those who are in need of joy and peace and believing…so who does the filling? We need the filling so that we may abound in hope… the joy, peace and believing abound us in the hope through (yes lots of hoops to jump through LOL) through the POWER of the Holy Ghost. The Scriptures are not saying the Power is in God, nor the son, but the Holy Ghost.

So many struggle in the Christian community to understand righteousness, peace and joy. Could it be they are focused on their physical state rather than their spiritual? Could it be in our Christian circles we mention the Holy Ghost but do not accept His position and work in us? I know, so many of us try to do the work on our own…it’s a trap the enemy lays snare for us and so often we step right into the lie of our self-independence which separates us from God. Independence is a double edge sword. We are taught we need to be self sufficient, self reliant, and self motivated…but in those things we then are our own god, we worship ourselves and our accomplishments. Well, I least I know I did, when I worked corporate and didn’t have a relationship with God. Praise God, my eyes where open!

Trusting, relying, listening, leaning, following, acknowledging the Holy Ghost will bring us the righteousness, the peace, the joy, the direction, the hope and most importantly the power to do that in which we could not do in and of ourselves. We need Him to receive these supernatural transformations of a great inner or internal peace, joy and the ability to live righteously!

So much to say, so little space…Today are we in need of a filling? The Scriptures tell us where we are to get it…ask Him…be willing to abandon all of our self motivated ideas and just allow Him to have His way with you. Yes, I will tell you from experience, it will seem illogical, it will feel upside down from what you know, it will be against what you have been taught. All I can say is trust God, trust the Holy Spirit and when we become dependent on Him and allow His flow we then realize we have been blocking His work in and through us for way to long! Today allow the flood gates of His righteousness, joy and peace to flood your hearts and abound in the hope of His ability to work in you! Now the God of peace [be] with you all. Amen.

With much love for the brethren~
