Are angels real?

For those of us who have wondered if angels are real and what God uses angels for here is a portion of Scripture below that puts it all into perspective for you. We should be aware that God operates more in the Spiritual realm than we can comprehend. He is not only ruling over the physical universe and the billions of people on earth, he is also ruling a spiritual realm of billions in the heavenlies…most to our advantage! There is so much more to share on this, however, we will keep it brief:

Angels are ministering spirits. The Scriptures are clear; they are below Jesus and below us. Jesus sits on His throne and sustains everything by the power of His mighty command. Angels do not rule, nor have a throne that oversees the worlds…Jesus does. Angels are not to be worshipped, they are to worship. Jesus sends His angels out like the winds and flames of fire! They are on duty 24/7 as the Master commands. It says they are God’s servants sent to care for people who will inherit salvation. I will not begin to explain what their duties contain as all we need to really understand is that God has our backs!  It is God who sends them out on our behalf. So, we should continue to seek God and trust that God will do miracles and protect us as He sees fit, amen!

We shouldn’t draw attention to what angels do. They are messengers and like we are God’s messengers we are not to steal God’s glory for the work that He does. Angels do not want to steal God’s glory either, so we worship Jesus and that just thrills the angels that care for us in the unseen. Just as it will thrill us for others to praise God for the good they may receive through us. We never want to steal the praise and honor due God as He is in control and orders all things. Angels are not meant to be idolized or prayed to, they have no power in and of themselves, and they take their orders from the ONE who sits on the throne just as we do.

However, the answer to the question, are angels real, yes! They are moving and shaking in the unseen spiritual realm. Can some see angels, well, yes! God can unveil Himself and His agents anyway He desires, those who have the gift of discerning spirits will more likely encounter a peek then the general population. I wouldn’t suggest we run around for the things we cannot see as we cannot handle what is right in front of our faces for the most part with what we do see. The message today is angels are real, they are ministering spirits and the scriptures tell us to worship Jesus, seek ye first the Kingdom of God, seek God and you will find Him. We are NEVER told to go through angels…Jesus is the way the truth and the life…no man comes to the Father but by HIM.

Today, may we all understand the importance of how the universe operates in its governance? If we have given attention to angels, we should ask God for forgiveness and turn our full attention back to Him. He wants us to love Him with All our heart, soul, mind and strength. There is no room in our hearts for Him to share with His angels. If we choose to worship and give attention to angels, it breaks the fellowship we can have with Him, and becomes an idol. This is deep, but a warning to us…if we are in awe with angels, it will break God’s heart and the angels will be disappointed. When they leave to avoid us falling into sin, will we know if an unfamiliar spirit comes in to deceive us? The enemy is on his toes just waiting for the opportunity to counterfeit a spirit. We must guard our hearts at all times and keep all of our attention and focus on our Father and Jesus.

Please don’t take my word for it, read below for yourself. We were created to glorify the creator (Isaiah 43:7). May our hearts not be led astray or deceived. It is all about Jesus! Amen.

With much love for the brethren~

Jesus Christ Is God’s Son

1 Long ago God spoke many times and in many ways to our ancestors through the prophets. 2 And now in these final days, he has spoken to us through his Son. God promised everything to the Son as an inheritance, and through the Son he created the universe. 3 The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. 4 This shows that the Son is far greater than the angels, just as the name God gave him is greater than their names.

The Son Is Greater Than the Angels

5 For God never said to any angel what he said to Jesus:

“You are my Son.

Today I have become your Father. ”

God also said,

“I will be his Father,

and he will be my Son.”

6 And when he brought his supreme Son into the world, God said,

“Let all of God’s angels worship him.”

7 Regarding the angels, he says,

“He sends his angels like the winds,

his servants like flames of fire.”

8 But to the Son he says,

“Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever.

You rule with a scepter of justice.

9 You love justice and hate evil.

Therefore, O God, your God has anointed you,

pouring out the oil of joy on you more than on anyone else.”

10 He also says to the Son,

“In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundation of the earth

and made the heavens with your hands.

11 They will perish, but you remain forever.

They will wear out like old clothing.

12 You will fold them up like a cloak

and discard them like old clothing.

But you are always the same;

you will live forever.”

13 And God never said to any of the angels,

“Sit in the place of honor at my right hand

until I humble your enemies,

making them a footstool under your feet.”

14 Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation.NLT
